Mysore Pak

This rich sweet dish is popular in the regions of Mysore.  This is prepared using Clarified Butter/Ghee and Gram Flour.

Ingredients:
1 Cup Kadale Hittu/Besan/Gram Flour
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Ghee/Clarified Butter

Thoran

A Kerala style side dish prepared using Cabbage or Beans.
Time Required: 25 Minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
500gms Cabbage or French Beans, Chopped finely
1 Onion Chopped finely
2 Cloved Garlic
1tsp Chopped Ginger
6 Green Chilies
1tbsp Coconut Oil
½tsp Mustard seeds
1tsp Urad Dal/Blackgram dal split
4 Red Chilies, Broken
1 Cup Fresh Coconut, Grated
¼tsp Turmeric powder
¼tsp Cumin Seeds
Few Curry leaves
Salt to taste

Sprouted Horse gram side dish.
Time Required: 20 Minutes + Soaking time
Ingredients:
250gms Horse Gram
1 Onion, Chopped finely
½ Cup fresh Coconut, Grated
4 Green Chilies, Slit lengthwise
2tbsp Coriander Leaves, finely chopped
Juice of half Lemon
Salt to taste
