Koodli is a quaint village with rich history situated in Shimoga district of Karnataka. The two major rivers Tunga and Bhadra meet at this point and flow forward as Tungabhadra River. Tungabhadra merges with Krishna River at Sangamaleshwaram, Kurnool district.
Koodli was a flourishing town in the 14th century and was destroyed during the Moghul invasions. Many temple ruins are found in this region.
A small temple with Nandi inside the River signifies the exact point where the two rivers meet. This point is the most sacred point and devotees take a dip at this point.
