21 types of Patra (leaves), 21 types of Pushpa (flowers), and 21 Kadabu or Modaka (sweets) are offered to Lord Ganesha during Ganesha Chathurthi and Sankashta Chaturthi. Just before the festivities when you step out to buy the Patra, the flower vendor hands out a bunch of greens, out of which half of them will be irrelevant weeds.
This experience led me to research on the 21 Patra (leaves) that has to be offered to Lord Ganesha and discovered that each of the leaves have rich medicinal value.
21 Patra Pooja to Lord Ganesha is also known as Ekavimshathi Patra Pooja. You can get the available 21 Patra (leaves) and using any of the 21 Ganesha names from 108 Ganapathi Ashtothra, you can do the pooja using the flowers.
Links lead you to a complete description about the trees and plant that the leaves belong to.
