Besan Laddoo

A sweet prepared using Gram Flour.  Besan Laddoo is extremely popular in North Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Time Required:  30 Minutes

Besan Laddooo

2 Cups Besan/Gram Flour
1 Cup Ghee/Clarified Butter
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
Few chopped Cashewnuts
Few Raisins

In a thick-bottomed pan, add Ghee and let it melt. Now add Besan and fry over low flame until an aroma arises. Remove and keep it aside to cool. Fry Cashewnuts in Ghee until it turns pink and add it to the Besan along wiht Raisins and Sugar. Mix well and shape into laddoos.
