Fruit and Alu Chaat is made with fruits and boiled potatoes tossed in spices. Spice coated potatoes mingled in the juicy sweetness of the fruits is the right treat in the evening after a long and tiring day at work.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
2 Guavas (medium ripe)
1 large Apple
3 cups Potato, Boiled
½ cup Onion, Chopped finely
3 ripe Bananas
1 cup Seedless Grapes
1 ripe Tomato
1 Green Chill, Chopped finley (Optional)
Juice of 1 Lemon
Salt, Pepper and Red chilli powder to taste
1 tsp Roasted Jeera/Cumin Powder
15 Mint Leaves, Chopped
2 sprigs Coriander Leaves, Chopped
Cut the boiled Potatoes, Apples and Guavas into cubes. Cut the Bananas into thick roundels and the grapes in halves. Cut the tomato into thick chunks. Combine all the Fruits and Potatoes in a big bowl. Add Onions, Tomato chunks and Green Chillies. Sprinkle the spices and the lemon juice. Mix it well with a flat spoon, along with half of the coriander and the mint leaves. Serve Fruit and Alu Chaat garnished with the rest of the Coriander and Mint leaves.
