Pudding prepared using Broken Wheat and Coconut Milk. It is extremely tasty and is also known as Godi Huggi in North Karnataka.
Time Required: 30 Minutes
1 Cup Broken Wheat
½ Cup Jaggery
1tbsp Bengal Gram Dal
1tbsp Raw Rice
1 Cup Coconut Milk
tsp Elaichi/Cardamom Powder
1tbsp Chopped Nuts (Cashew nuts, Badam/Almonds/Pistachios)
Fry the nuts in 1tsp Ghee until golden brown and keep it aside.
Cook Broken Wheat, Bengal Gram and Rice in a pressure cooker. Remove to a thick-bottomed vessel.
Add Jaggery and mix well.
Add Coconut Milk and mix well.
Cook for 5 minutes. Add Elaichi Powder and Nuts.
Mix well and remove to serving dish.
Serve Godi Payasa either hot or cold.
