Masala Channa Dal is deep fried Bengal Gram tossed in spices. This can be made into a Chaat too.

Time Required: 10 Minutes + Soaking time
Caution to dieters: Involves deep frying in Oil.
1 Cup Channa Dal / Bengal Gram / Kadalebele
1 tsp Kala Namak / Black Salt
1 tsp Chaat Masala
1 tsp Chili Powder
Oil for deep frying
Soak Channa Dal for an hour. Remove on a cloth towel and pat dry.
Heat Oil and deep fry the Channa Dal until golden brown.
Remove on a kitchen towel and let it cool. Add Kala namak, Chaat Masala, and Chili Powder. Mix well.
Remove to a serving dish and serve with Ginger Tea.
