Light and crispy Lady’s finger/Okra fritters.
Time Required: 15 Minutes
250gms/1 Cup Bhindi/Bhendekayi/Okra/Lady’s finger
6 Green Chilies, Chopped Finely
2 – 3tbsp Kadalehittu/Gram Flour/Besan
½ tbsp Ghee/Clarified Butter
Oil for deep-frying
Salt to taste
Chop Bhindi into small roundels and remove to a mixing bowl. To this add Green Chilies, Salt and Ghee and mix well. Heat Oil in a Kadai and then add Gram Flour little by little to the Bhindi mixture and mix well. Do not add water. Add just enough Gram Flour so that it binds the pieces together. Now make small balls of the Bhindi mixture and deep fry. Remove Bhindi Pakoda on a kitchen towel and serve with Ketchup or Sweet/Meethi Chutney.
