It’s Christmas baking time!
Type: Tea cakes
Makes: 250 gms
Ingredients to make an Eggless Mawa Cake:
60 gms Butter
1 + ½ tsp Castor Sugar
70 gms ( ¼ cup + ¼ Cup) Maida
1tsp Baking Powder
150 ml or 170 gms Condensed Milk
¼ + 1/8 tsp Baking soda
50ml – 60 ml Milk
20 gms (2tbsp) Chiroti Rawa / Sooji / Fine Semolina
50 – 60 gms Khova (make khova using half liter milk)
2 – 3 pinches of Cardamom powder
1tbsp Cashew nut powder
Pre-heat the oven.
Line the tin with butter and dust with Maida.
Sieve maida, baking powder, cardamom and soda-bi-carb separately.
Beat butter and sugar till creamy, fluffy, and light separately.
Add condensed milk to butter.
Add milk and maida mixture alternately to butter and beat without curdling.
Add Rawa / Sooji and mix well.
Add the dusted dry fruits and mix.
Mix Khova and Milk to form a smooth paste. Add to the cake mix. Pour the mixture in the baking tray.
Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
Let it cool.
Cut Eggless Mawa Cake into slices and serve with Fruit Custard.
