Boiled lentils cooked in a seasoning.
Time Required: 15 Minutes
1 Cup Tur/Tuvar Dal/Split Red Gram
Juice of ½ Lemon
½ tsp Mustard Seeds
½ tsp Jeera/Cumin Seeds
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Onion, Chopped finely
1 Tomato, Chopped finely
4 Pods Garlic, Crushed
2 Green Chilies, slit
2tbsp Coriander Leaves
½“ Ginger piece, Grated
Salt to taste
Cook Dal in the cooker and keep it aside. Heat Oil in a Kadai and add Mustard Seeds and when they splutter add Jeera and Turmeric Powder.
Add Onion, Garlic, Ginger and Chilies and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Now add the cooked Dal and mix well.
Add Salt and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove to a serving bowl and add Lemon juice, mix well.
Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve Dal Fry with Phulka or Rice.
