This Mango pickle is usually prepared by the cooks during functions like Weddings, Upanayana/Sacred thread ceremony, House Warming etc., It is very tasty and kids just love it with Curd rice.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
2 Big Raw Mango
3tbsp Chili Powder
1tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Roasted Methi/Fenugreek Powder
1tsp Mustard Seeds
Chop Mango into tiny pieces. Remove to a mixing bowl and add Chili Powder, Methi Powder, Turmeric Powder, Hing and Salt to it and mix well.
Heat Oil and add Mustard Seeds and when they splutter add this seasoning to the Mango pieces and mix well. Store Thundu Mavinakayi Uppinakayi in refrigerator after a day and use a dry spoon to serve the pickle.
