I could not resist buying bunches of grapes on the way to Nandi Hills and my mom was more than willing to prepare the Grape Jam.
Time Required: 40 Minutes
1 Cup Grape Crush
½ Cup Sugar
Juice of ½ Lemon
To prepare the Grape crush, squeeze the fruit in a bowl and sieve. Mix Grape crush and Lemon and boil for 3 minutes. Add Sugar and cook further stirring continuously.
When the mass has become thick in consistency, dip a spoon into it and let the product run off the sides of the spoon. If, on cooling, the jam falls off in the form of a sheet instead of flowing readily in a single stream, it means that the end point has been reached and the product is ready for filling into containers. Else, continue boiling till the sheet test is satisfactory.
Remove to a jar and let it cool. Tastes great with toast and crackers.
