Mango season is here and I just love to churn out some irresistible dishes from Mangoes. Raw Mango Dry Coconut Chutney known as Mavinakayi Khobbari Chutney in Kannada, is an accompaniment much relished by one and all.
Time Required: 5 Minutes
1 Cup, Peeled and Chopped Raw Mango
1 Cup, Dry Coconut, Grated
10 – 15 Dry Red Chilies
1tsp Mustard Seeds
A pinch of Hing / Asafoetida
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
Grind all the ingredients together. Remove to a bowl. Heat Oil and add Mustard Seeds, when they splutter add Turmeric powder and Hing. Add this seasoning to the Chutney and mix well.
Serve with Rice and Saaru or Indian Bread.
