Water Apple in White and Red are available in plenty during May End to June End. This fruit though tasteless is considered good for health. I tried this recipe and the fruit became a bit more palatable.
Ingredients:
8 Water Apple chopped finely
1/2 small Cucumber, diced
1/2 Red Sweet Apple diced
1/4 tsp Black salt
1 Green chili, minced
Few sprigs of Coriander leaves, chopped finely
Few Mint leaves, chopped finely
Juice of one Lemon
2 tbsp roasted Pumpkin seeds (optional)
1 tsp virgin Olive oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Bring all the ingredients in a salad mixing bowl.
Toss gently. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
