A side dish prepared using raw Papaya and Ivy gourd.
Time Required: 15 Minutes
1 Cup Chopped Thondekayi / Ivy gourd
1 Cup Peeled and Chopped Raw Papaya
1tsp Mustard Seeds
A pinch of Turmeric Powder
1/4 Cup Grated Fresh Coconut
1tsp Chili Powder
1tsp Jeera Powder
1/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder
A pinch of Sugar
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt to taste
Heat Oil, add Mustard seeds and when they splutter add Turmeric Powder, Thondekayi, and Papaya. Stir for a minute on low flame. Add two tablespoons of water and close the vessel and cook for two minutes. Open the lid and stir for a minute. Add Coconut, Chili Powder, Jeera Powder, Sugar, and Salt. Mix well. Add Garam Masala and mix well. Remove to a serving dish and serve hot garnished with Coriander with your choice of Indian Bread.
