A simple stir fry using Brussels Sprout. This exotic vegetable was introduced by the British and is grown in Ooty and other hill stations across the country.
Time Required: 20 Minutes
10 -12 Brussels Sprout
1 Onion, Chopped finely
6 – 8 Yellow Cherry Tomatoes, Cut into two halves
1 Fresh Red Chili, Cut into roundels
5 – 6 Garlic Pods, Chopped finely
1tsp Crushed Pepper
1tbsp Olive Oil
Salt to taste
Remove the outer leaves of the Brussels Sprout. Steam for 3 to 4 minutes.
Heat Oil, add Onion and Garlic and saute until translucent. Add Cherry Tomatoes and stir for 30 seconds, add Brussels Sprout, Red Chili, Crushed Pepper, Oregano, and Salt. Stir and remove to a serving dish and serve hot Brussels Sprout Stir Fry with Plain Pasta or Bread.
