Green Chickpea are usually available in South India during December and January. The pods have to be removed from the plant. Shell the pods to get green tender chickpea.
Time Required: 10 Minutes + Shelling time
1 Cup Green Chickpea/Soppina kadalekayi
1 Cup Cucumber, peeled and diced
½ Capsicum, Chopped into big pieces
1 Carrot, peeled and diced
1 Onion, Chopped into big pieces
Juice of 1 Lemon
½ tsp Chili flakes
1 Green Chili, slit
Salt to taste
Mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl, chill Green Chickpea Salad and serve.
