Sihi Avalakki is a sweet prepared using beaten rice and jaggery.
Time Required: 25 Minutes
2 Cups thick Avalakki / Beaten Rice / Poha
1 Cup Grated Jaggery
1 Cup Grated fresh Coconut
1tsp Cardamom Powder
Few Cashew nuts (Optional)
1tsp Ghee/Clarified Butter
Note: Coconut is missing in the picture
Heat Ghee and fry Cashew nuts until they turn golden.
Soak Avalakki in water for 5 minutes. Sieve excess water and remove to a mixing bowl.
Melt Jaggery in half cup water.
Add Avalakki and mix.
Add Coconut, Cardamom Powder and Cashew nuts, and mix well.
Serve Sihi Avalakki.
