A pudding prepared using Sago Pearls.
Time Required: 30 Minutes
1 Cup Sabudana / Sago Pearls
¼ Cup Ghee / Clarified Butter
1½ Cups Sugar
1 Cup Milk Powder
4 Cups of Water
A drop of Rose Essence or Cardamom Powder
2tbsp Crushed assorted Nuts
Heat Ghee and add Sabudana. Fry until Sabudana starts to pop.
Add water and cook until it becomes soft. Add Sugar and keep stirring. Switch off the flame and add the Milk Powder, Rose Essence and Nuts. Mix well and remove to a serving dish.
Soak Sabudana overnight. Add water, 1 cup Milk and cook until it becomes soft. Add Sugar and keep stirring until it becomes thick i.e., Halwa consistency. Switch off the flame and add Saffron and Nuts. Mix well and remove to a serving dish.
welll.. this is sabudana kheer NOT halwa. do the required correction.
