Menasinakai Balaka are sun dried stuffed Green Chilies, which are Shallow fried before serving in South India.
Time Required: 15 Minutes + Drying Time
10 Green Chilies
1tsp Fenugreek Seeds
A pinch of Hing / Asafoetida
1/4 Cup of Sour Curds
Dry-roast the Fenugreek Seeds till brown. Powder it and mix with Salt and Asafoetida. Slit Green Chilies length-wise, with the end stalks intact.
Stuff the Chilies with this powder powder. Smear Sour Curds on the Chilies.
Let them dry in the sun.
Store them in air-tight containers. When required deep fry or shallow fry them using Oil and serve with Rice and Saaru or Puliyogare.
