Ravana takes centre stage on the last day of Dasara celebrations depicting the evil in our lives. A huge effigy of Ravana is constructed using flammable material filled with fire crackers. This effigy is burnt by a fire arrow shot by Lord Rama.
Today is also the birthday of our father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi who like Lord Rama eliminated the colonial rule in India through a peaceful method.
