Uddina Vada
Crispies resembling the doughtnut prepared using Split Black Gram and spices.
Time Required: 20 Minutes + Soaking time
Makes: 12 Vadas
Ingredients:
1 Cup Urad Dal/Split Black Gram
5 Pepper Corns, Crushed
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Method:
Soak Urad Dal for 30 minutes. Grind it to a thick paste. Add Salt and Pepper and mix well.
Heat Oil in a frying pan. Take a spoonful of batter in the hand and make a hole in it using the thumb. Deep fry until golden brown.
Serve with Coconut Chutney and Sambar.
