Boondi Raitha Recipe

Boondi Raitha

Boondi is small round crunchy deep fried snack.  This is mixed with Yogurt and spices to make the Raitha.  A very popular dish of North India.  It is served as an accompaniment with Indian Bread and with Pulao or Biryani.

Time Required: 5 Minutes with ready-made Boondi

Ingredients:
1 Cup Boondi
3 Cups Curds/Yogurt
1tsp Chili Powder
1tsp Black Salt
1tsp Roasted Jeera Powder
1tbsp Sugar
2 sprigs Coriander leaves, chopped finely
Salt to taste

Method:
In a mixing bowl add Chili Powder, Black Salt, Jeera Powder, Sugar and Salt to Curds/Yogurt and mix well. Chill for 30 minutes.  Soak Boondi for 5 minutes.  Remove from water and add to the Yogurt sauce.  Mix well.

 Garnish with Coriander leaves.  Serve with your choice of Indian Bread or Pulao.
