South Indian Style Avocado Raitha Recipe – Avocado in Yoghurt

Avocado Raitha

Here is a healthy recipe using Avocado.  Avocado raitha is easy to make and so delicious with crunchy Onions.

Ingredients:
1 Avocado
2 Cups Yoghurt
1 Onion, Chopped finely
2 Green Chilies, Minced
Few sprigs of Coriander leaves, chopped finely
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
Few Curry leaves
A pinch of Hing
Salt to taste

Method:
In a mixing bowl scoop the Avocado and mash lightly.  Add Yoghurt, Onion, Green Chilies, Salt, and Coriander leaves and mix well.

Heat Oil in a pan and add Mustard seeds and when they splutter add Hing and Curry leaves.  Pour this over the Avocado and Yoghurt mixture.  Mix well.  Refrigerate for half an hour, if needed and serve with plain rice or your choice of Indian Bread.
