Hurida Chutney

Fried Coconut Chutney – Hurida Kayi Chutney used to be served in its humble position next to the Salt everyday in Kurtakoti.  A must-have during lunch time, it would have a tangy and spicy taste, which would go very well with Jower Roti.

Time required: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup Fresh Grated Coconut
4 – 8 Green Chilies
1/2 tsp Roasted Fenugreek Seeds Powder
1″piece Tamarind
1tsp Oil
Salt to taste

Method:
Heat Oil in a pan and add the Green Chilies and saute for a minute.


Add Coconut and stir for a minute.


Combine the ingredients in a blender.

Blend just for a few seconds. Until all the ingredients are mixed. Ensure that it does not become a paste.

Serve with your choice of Indian Bread. Goes very well with Jower Roti, Akki Roti, and Chapathi.
