Shavige Pakoda

The winter air penetrating into the warm homes makes one crave for spicy, crispy fritters with a cup of hot masala tea. How about some Vermicelli fritters to satisfy your taste buds!? Why not, did u say? I cannot agree more, here is the recipe.

Time Required: 39 Minutes

Ingredients:
2 Cups Cooked Shavige / Vermicelli
1 Big Onion, Chopped finely
Few Sprigs of Coriander leaves, Chopped
¾ Cup Gram Flour
2 – 3 Green Chilies, Chopped finely or 1 – 2 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Saunf/Aniseed, Crushed
Oil for deep-frying
Salt to taste

Method:
Mix all the ingredients except for Oil gently. Do not add water. Heat Oil, take little Vermicelli mixture and gently press in the fist and drop in Oil.

Deep fry until brown and serve hot with Chutney or Ketchup.
