Godi Akki Ganji – Broken Wheat Gruel

Godi Akki Ganji

Godi Akki Ganji  is prepared using Broken Wheat.  This Ganji or Gruel is extremely healthy and coming home food.  After eating a variety of high calorie food during a travel, you can prepare this when you return to calm the tummy acids.  It is also quick to prepare this dish.

Time Required: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup Godi Akki/Broken Wheat
1 Potato, Peeled and Chopped finely
¼ Cup Sprouted Hesarakalu/Green Gram or Madakikalu/Whole Moth
1tsp Oil
1tsp Jeera
Grounded Pepper to taste (Optional)
Salt to taste

Method:
Pressure cook Godi Akki, Potato, Pepper, Sprouts, and Salt in 3 cups of water. 

Add more water if the gruel is too thick. 

Heat Oil and add Jeera, when it splutters add this to the gruel, mix well.

Remove to a serving dish.

Serve hot Godi Akki Ganji with Ghee or Curds and your choice of Pickle.
