Plain Kulcha

Indian Bread using refined flour.

Time Required: 45 Minutes

Ingredients:
2 Cups Maida
1tbsp Curds
½ Cup Milk
¼ tsp Soda-bi-carb / Cooking Soda
1tsp Sugar
1tbsp Oil
1tsp Chili Powder
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method:
Mix Maida with Sugar, Soda, Salt. Add Milk and Curds just enough to roll into a dough. Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep aside for 20 minutes. Divide into balls.

Grease your palms and flatten each of the ball and leave them aside for 5 minutes. Now, roll each one into circle and keep them on a oven tray.

Wet the upper portion of the Kulcha and sprinkle Chili Powder and Coriander leaves.

Preheat the oven to the highest degree available. Bake for 5 minutes.

Remove and serve hot with a dollop of Butter and your choice of side dish.

Note: Kulchas can be roasted on a tava too.
