Sihi Kumbalakayi Bun – Sweet Pumpkin Bun – Kaddu Bun

Sweet Pumpkin Bun

This deep fried dish is prepared using Sweet Pumpkin and this dish is from the kitchens of North Karnataka.

Time Required: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
2 Cups Grated Sweet Pumpkin
1 Cup Grated Jaggery
1 Cup Wheat Flour
Oil for deep frying

Method:
Heat 1tsp Oil and add Pumpkin and Jaggery. After the Jaggery melts and the Pumpkin is cooked, remove from heat. 

To this, add Wheat flour little by little until the dough is like that of Chapathi dough.

Divide it into Lemon sized balls.

Heat Oil in a kadai/pan. Flatten each of the Pumpkin-dough ball on a greased aluminum foil.

Deep fry till golden brown.

Remove to a serving dish and serve with a spicy chutney.
