Hannina Kayi Sasve

Fruits mixed in coconut and chilies sauce.  This is a traditional Udupi dessert served just before the meal on the plantain leaf ends.

Time Required: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup freshly grated Coconut
1tsp Mustard seeds
2 Green Chilies or 3 Red chilies
1 Banana Peeled and chopped
1 Cup Peeled and Chopped Pineapple
1 Cup Orange segments
1 Cup Grapes
1/2 Cup grated Jaggery
Other fruits that can be used are: Apple, Mango, Papaya, and Strawberry
Salt to taste

Method:
Grind coconut, mustard seeds, and chilies to a paste. In a mixing bowl mix the fruits with jaggery, salt, and the coconut sauce.

Chill and serve.
