Sihi Aralittu – Sorghum Popped Flour Breakfast Recipe – Jowar Pop Atta Sweet Mix

Sihi Aralittu

Sihi Aralittu is a very healthy breakfast prevalent in North Karnataka.  The Jower/Sorghum Seeds Pop is ground to a coarse powder, which is mixed with Milk, Jaggery, and Ghee!!! Yum and I am down the memory trip already!

You can also make spicy Aralittu known as Mosaru Aralittu.

Cuisine: North Karnataka
Time Required: 5 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Bowl Aralittu / Jower (Sorghum) Seeds Pop ground to a coarse powder
2 – 3 tbsp Grated Jaggery
1 Cup Milk
1 tbsp Ghee (Optional)

Method:
Mix Milk and Jaggery and heat until the Jaggery Melts.

Take the Aralittu in a mixing bowl and add the Milk to it.

Gently mix to form a fluffy pillow consistency.

Serve Sihi Aralittu with a dollop of Ghee.

With Jaggery it is known as Sihi Aralittu and there are many different types of dishes that can be churned out with Aralittu.
