Green Chickpea Dosa – Hara Channa Chila – Soppu Kadale Dose Recipe

Chickpea Dosa

Soppina Kadalekayi or Green Chickpea arrive in cart loads during winter. My friend SaPaSa shared this dosa recipe using Green Chickpea.

Ingredients:
1 Cup shelled Green Chickpea
2 Green Chilies, minced 
1 ladleful of Yoghurt/Curds
1″ Ginger, Grated
4 tbsp Gram Flour
Oil for roasting
Salt to taste

Method:
Combine Chickpea, Chilies, Yoghurt, and Ginger in a blender and blend until smooth.  Remove to a bowl. 

Add Gram flour and Salt and mix.  If too thick, add half a cup of water and mix to a dosa batter consistency.

Heat a Flat Pan / Tava and take a ladleful of batter and pour on the Tava and spread in a concentric circle.

Sprinkle Oil over the dosa.  Cook for a minute or two.

Flip the dosa and roast for 10 seconds.

Remove to a serving plate.

Serve hot with your choice of Chutney.
