Sasihithlu Beach

Sasihithlu Beach

Yet another beach on the West coast of Karnataka, so what is new here? The same Sea, Sun, and Sand? Yes, the same but another word starting from “S” can be added to the list: Surf. You don’t have to travel to European countries to Surf, you can do it right here at Sasihithlu Beach.

The beach is tucked away two kilometers in Sasihithlu village before NITK Surathkal, Mukka. As you meander your way to the Beach, you catch your breath at the first sight of the beach. It is stunning!

Rivers Shambhavi and Nandini meet the Arabian Sea at this spot. The rivers flow around the island of Munda. All these elements make it one of the most beautiful beaches on this stretch of the coast.

A surfing festival along with the India open of Surfing is organized here. The three-day event is lined with water activities, kite flying, live performances, and last but not the least the food.

Many aquatic birds visit this estuary as it is abundant with their favorite food.
