Another weekend and another birding trip and off we drove to Mariapura lake. A beautiful serene lake where the wind blows, birds chirp, plants whisper, and fishes swim. This lake has a calming effect after a hectic week balancing work, home, and the lockdowns.
The long walk on the bund looking at the crystal clear water with the stoic hill as a background provides the much needed stretch to the legs and soothes the soul.
Mariapura Lake is situated in Mariapura village.
You can see a variety of flora growing on the sides of the bund.
There are plenty of birds feeding on the fishes.
There are shrubs on which there was a flock of small Egrets resting.
Tiny rocks near the Lake edges are positioned right for the Cormorant to dry its wings.
