Schezwan Sauce

Schezwan sauce is the main ingredient for Schezwan recipes.

Cuisine: Chinese
Time Required: 10 Minutes + Soaking time

Ingredients:
15 Red Chilies, soaked in water
1 Onion, Chopped finely
4 Pods Garlic, Chopped finely
1″ Ginger, Chopped finely
1 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp Soya Sauce
1 tbsp Vinegar
5 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste

Method:
Grind Red Chilies to a paste and keep it aside. Heat Oil and add Garlic, Ginger, and Onion. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add Red Chili paste and saute until all the moisture evaporates.

Add Sugar, Vinegar, Soya Sauce and mix well. Add Salt.

Remove to a dry container and use to make Schezwan Rice, Schezwan Noodles, Schezwan Salad, Singapore Noodles, and Schezwan Dosa.
