Shenga Burfi – Groundnut Burfi – Peanut Squares

Peanuts Burfi

Shenga Burfi is a sweetmeat prepared using Peanuts.

Cuisine: North Karnataka

Time Required: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup Shenga/Kadlekayi/Peanuts/Groundnuts
1 Cup Sugar
4 – 5 tbsp Water

Method:
Roast Shenga and remove the skin.  Ground coarsely and keep aside.

In a thick bottomed pan mix Sugar and water and cook until the Sugar melts.

Add Shenga powder and keep on stirring until the mixture is about to form a lump and leaves the sides.

Pour on a greased tray and cut into desired shapes.

Store in airtight containers.
