Rice Kheer

Rice Kheer is a sweet pudding prepared using Milk and Rice.

Time Required: 1 hour


Ingredients:
2 liters Milk
4 tbsp Sugar
1 Cup Cooked Basmati Rice
Few strands of Saffron soaked in 1tbsp Milk
Some Raisins, Sliced Almonds, Chopped Cashew nuts

Method:
Wash Rice, and let it dry. Heat Milk in a thick-bottomed pan. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring continuously. Add cooked Rice and cook, stirring continuously for 5 minutes. Add Sugar and Saffron milk and mix well.  Cook for 2 t minutes. Remove and add the Nuts and Raisins and mix well. Serve Rice Kheer either hot or cold.

Serving Suggestion:
Serve hot Rice Kheer with Vanilla Ice Cream.
