Ginger Burfi – Ginger Candy

Ginger Burfi

A very simple to make burfi, having a small piece of Ginger Burfi everyday is good for keeping the tummy cool and acidity free!

Cuisine: North Karnataka
Time required: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Grated fresh Ginger

Method:
Take Sugar in a thick-bottomed pan and add water until it covers the Sugar. Let the sugar melt and become a little thick. This might take 3 minutes.

Add the Ginger and keep stirring. Froth appears as the Ginger is cooked in the Sugar syrup.

Before the sugar crystallizes, pour the mixture on a greased tray.

Cut into desired shapes.

Store Ginger Burfi in a dry air-tight container.
