Carrot payasa

Carrot Payasa is a delicious surprise that mom would make during festivals.  Unsuspecting children will love this rich in vitamins payasa.

Time Required: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:
2 Carrots
½ ltr Milk
½ Cup Sugar
10 Cashewnuts or Almonds (soaked and peeled)
½ tsp Elaichi/Cardamom Powder
1tbsp Chopped Nuts (Cashew nuts, Badam/Almonds/Pistachios)

Method:
Peel and grate Carrots.  Cook the Carrots until soft.

Drain out the water. Grind Carrot with Cashew nuts or Almonds to a paste and keep aside.

Boil Milk and add Carrot paste to it and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Add Sugar, Elaichi Powder and Nuts, mix well.

Serve carrot payasa either hot or cold.
