Avalakki Panch Kajjaya – Panchakajjaya Recipe – Flattened Rice Prasad

Avalakki Panch Kajjaya is a sweet powdery dish is prepared as prasada / blessed food in temples and at home during festivals. Panch means five and five ingredients go into preparing this dish.

Time Required: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar Powder
½ Cup Grated Dry Coconut
¼ Cup Gatti Avalakki / Poha / Thick Beaten Rice
1tsp Cardamom Powder
2tsp Sesame Seeds
3tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter

Method:
Toast Sesame seeds and keep aside.

Heat Ghee and deep fry Avalakki.

Remove on a kitchen towel. In a mixing bowl mix Sugar Powder, Dry Coconut, Avalakki, Cardamom Powder, and Sesame Seeds.

Offer to gods and distribute among friends and relatives.
