Yediyur lake

Yediyur Lake in Bengaluru is one of the oldest lakes in the city.  It existed during the Hoysala period, 1,400 years ago and was the source of water for the fields surrounding the lake.


Somehow, it has managed to survive due to the citizen efforts.  This small lake now has a walkway all around for the health conscious to walk and jog.  Plan are afoot to plant fruit bearing plants to attract migratory birds.
