Someshwara Temple – Byndoor Someshwara Temple

Someshwara Temple

Byndoor is situated on the coastal belt of Karnataka. It is the most beautiful and pristine place with beaches, hills, estuaries, and temples.

Someshwara temple is a small ancient temple in Byndoor built on a cliff dedicated to Lord Shiva. The sanctum sanctorum has a small Shiva Linga.

The views from here are spectacular. The sea crashing on the rocks is a pleasant sight from the temple.

The waves seems to be washing the Lord’s feet.

A sweet water stream continuously flows on the rock adjacent to the temple. The stream disappears into the rocks and joins the Arabian sea.

Outside the temple are some stone inscriptions telling the story of this ancient temple.
