The Gurupura River joins the Arabian Sea here. Panambur is the combination of the words Panam meaning Money and Ur meaning village in the Tulu language.

The Beach is lined with Coconut palms and you can see hermit crabs scurrying on the sand. Shells in various shapes, colors, and sizes are strewn on the beach.

Seeing the sun set in the horizon here is an experience. We even saw Dolphins jumping out of the water, which were silhouetted against the Sunset.

Kite flying, boat rides, camel rides, and carnivals are some of the activities that visitors can indulge in while on the beach. Best time to visit is from October to February.
