Birds of Puttenahalli Lake

Being a nature loving family, we are always exploring places to trek or bird watch.  With hectic work and study schedules, these getaways take a back seat.  A visit to Puttenahalli Lake was refreshing as we could walk as well spot many birds nesting in the lake.

Picture1 – Little Egret in flight

Puttenahalli Lake is spread across 13 acres with rain water being the main source of water to the lake.

Many water and scrub / shore birds can be spotted here.

It is a delight to walk around the lake and watch the birds of same feathers frolicking and breeding.

Puttenahalli Neighbourhood Lake Improvement Trust (PNLIT) is a non-profit, charitable trust, working with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), to rujuvenate and maintain Puttenahalli Lake.
