Adichunchanagiri is a town situated on top of a hill in Mandya district, Karnataka. It is the spiritual headquarters of the Vokkaliga community and is also known as Mahasamsthana Matt.
The hill is in the form of the Athmalinga found in Gokarna. Adichunchanagiri has many temples and lakes. The greenery surrounding the place is very attractive.
Legend says that Adi Rudra handed over this place to Siddha Yogi who established the Siddha Simhasana and the Math. Current 72nd head of the Math is Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji. The Math expanded and flourished under Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, the 71st head of the Mutt.
