The baya weaver bird is found across the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. On one of our birding trips, we found flocks of these birds in the outskirts of Bangalore. The birds were very actively engaged in building the beautifully shaped hanging nests woven from leaves and twigs collected by the male bird.
