Indian women have been decorating aarathi place since a very long time. Aarathi is an important ritual in every Hindu household. Here is a simple way of decorating an aarathi plate.
Materials Required:
A steel or silver plate
Turmeric Powder
A toothpick
Method:
Wet the plate and sprinkle Turmeric powder over it evenly. Ensure that the plate is not visible. Can sprinkle two layers of Turmeric powder. Using the toothpick draw any design of your choice over the layer of Turmeric revealing the shine of the plate. Decorate with sequins.
Keep lamps over the plate and do aarathi.
