Cotton Jasmine Buds

Cotton Jasmine Garland

Making Cotton Jasmine Buds garland is a fascinating art. The garland looks real and beautiful when it adorns the gods and goddess’s idols and photographs. It looks good on doors too.

Materials required:
Medicated Cotton Roll
¼ Cup Seemeakki / Sabudana / Sago Pearls
Green Color
Thread

Method:
Soak Seemeakki for 3 to 4 hours. If it is dry, add 1 cup water and cook until done (ganji). It should be semi liquid. Sieve and keep it aside to cool.

Make small balls of cotton. Making the balls will be easier if you wet your hands.

Take some more cotton and flatten it and put the ball inside this and twist at one end to form the stalk of the Jasmine bud.

Dip each of these buds in the Seemeakki liquid and arrange them on a plastic sheet to dry.

After they dry, paint each of the bud stalk with green.

Tie them to a garland using the thread. You can make Kanakambara (Cossandra) flowers using paper and add them in-between to add color.

You can also make leaves using green paper and add these while tying the garland.
