Hot and Sour Vegetables

Hot and Sour Vegetables is a dish, which adds a dash of various flavors to a subtle steamed Rice or plain cooked Noodles.

Time required: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup Frozen Peas
1 Cup Baby Corn roundels
1 Cup Carrot roundels
1″ Ginger, Juliennes
3 – 4 Green Chilies, Slit
1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
3 – 4 Garlic Pods, Sliced
1 or 2 tsp Vinegar
1 tbsp Cornflour
2 tsp Oil
A sprig of Coriander leaves, Chopped
Salt to taste

Method:
Mix cornflour with 2 tbsp water and keep aside. Heat Oil, add Ginger, Garlic, and Green Chilies.

Add Cornflour water and stir.  Add half a cup of water and cook for two minutes.

Add Salt and Chili Flakes and stir. 

Add the Vegetables.  Cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add water if required.

Remove to a serving dish and garnish with Coriander leaves.  Serve hot with Fried Rice or Plain steamed Rice.
