Falooda is a traditional Dessert prepared using Basil seeds, Milk, Vermicelli, Nuts, Cardamom, and a syrup like Pistachio, Almond, Rose, and so on.

Cuisine: North India

Time Required: 30 Minutes + Chilling time

Ingredients:
2 Cups Milk
2tbsp Sugar
2 – 3 tsp Basil Seeds
1/2 Cup Falooda Vermicelli
2 tbsp Almond or Rose Syrup
2 Scoops of Almond, Vanilla, or Rose Ice Cream
1 tbsp Nuts of your choice, Chopped finely
A pinch of Cardamom Powder

Method:
Soak Basil seeds for 30 minutes. Sieve and keep aside.

Heat Milk and Sugar for few minutes. Cook Falooda Vermicelli in water and sieve. Add Vermicelli and Cardamom Powder to the Milk.

Add Basil seeds, Nuts, and the syrup to the Milk mixture and let it cook for few seconds. Remove from heat and chill.

To Assemble:
Pour the mixture in two glasses. Add a scoop of Ice Cream on top and serve cold Falooda.

Note: You can add the content in layers too. Keep all the cooked ingredients separately and then add Basil seeds first in the serving glasses. Then add the Syrup. Next add Vermicelli. Pour the chilled Milk with Cardamom over it and top with a dollop of Ice Cream. Garnish with Nuts.
